Hi Chiquita,

I'm interested in the nursing program @APSU. I was wondering if there was a waiting list or do they accept a certain amount of students per semester? Right now, I attend a Community College and I'm hoping to transfer to APSU next fall. Any other info you would like to add would also be great to know.

HI Chiquita,
I went to East Carolina University for 2 years now and i'm in a bad rut. I too messed up one semester, but the bad thing was it was my first freshman semester. Now I'm wanting to transfer to APSU because I'm moing to Clarksville to be with my girlfriend and i heard APSU is great! My only problem is my GPA isnt high enough yet, so I was told to transfer to Nashville State Community College and do good for a semster or 2 and the apply for admission to APSU. I'm really hopin this works because I toured the APSU campus and I fell in love with it and i love TN in general. Just wanted to say to everyone also..please dont let your social life overpower your academic life. Trust me it may not seem like your ever gonna get out and do anything, but just think, is it better to have friends and no education to get a job, or is it better to get your education so you can get a job and then hang with friends. The decision is yours, but choose wisely.

How hard is it to get into Austin Peay’s Nursing program? I’m in the military and currently stationed in Texas but I’m trying to pull favors from everywhere so that I can get stationed at Fort Campbell to finish up 4 classes and maybe then it will be easier to find out more information. Since your working in admissions this summer maybe you can answer this for me: I called admissions one day and they told me since I was military I can apply online through GoArmyU but there isn’t any degree plan listed for pre-nursing on the portal. I called GoArmyU and they told me I had to get a degree plan from the school (I asked about printing off the degree plan off the internet they said no they need it from the school). How do I get that if I’m not a student yet? Do you know any nursing students that were in the military that wouldn’t mind talking to me about transitioning out the military into the nursing program? Any further information about the nursing program would be great….
